David Bedingham scored a masterful century to lead WSB Western Province to 259-7 in their CSA One-Day Cup match against the DP World Lions at the DP World Wanderers on Saturday.
The contest was affected by rain and lighting, resulting in the loss of overs. The Lions’ revised target is 264 runs in 39 overs.
David Bedingham led the charge for the Men in Blue. The Proteas star, who was dropped on 26 and 82, made the best of the chances.
He scored a brilliant 103 from 93 balls (11X4s, 3X6s). This is Bedingham's eighth List A century and he faced 91 deliveries to get to the milestone.
Bedingham, who reached the landmark with a boundary, lost his wicket trying to clear the ropes immediately after reaching his 100.

Earlier in the day, he shared a brilliant 78-run second-wicket partnership with Tony de Zorzi that laid a firm foundation for the visitors.
Bedingham, who arrived at the crease in the fifth-over, played a game that allowed De Zorzi to persist with his aggressive stroke play.
De Zorzi, who was out for two months due to injury, scored a fluent 59 runs from 49 balls to get the visitors off to a great start.
This is his 20th List A half-century, and he faced 40 deliveries to reach the milestone. The left-hander, who looked unbothered in his innings, lost his wicket trying to execute a reverse sweep off Bjorn Fortuin.
His dismissal was the first of three wickets the visitors lost in 2.5 overs. Fortuin put the brakes on Western Province's progress with the dismissals of De Zorzi and Kyle Verreynne in consecutive deliveries.
Nqaba Peter strengthened the Lions' position with Daniel Smith's dismissal in the 18th over.
The visitors consolidated and counterpunched with an 88-run sixth-wicket partnership between Bedingham and Joshua Breed (43*).
Breed was with Raeeq Daniels (4*) when rain and lightning stopped play.
Bjorn Fortuin was the pick of the bowlers for the Lions with two wickets for 39 runs in 10 overs. Codi Yusuf and Nqaba Peter also took a brace of wickets apiece, but conceded runs at a higher economy rate than Fortuin.
