The inaugural women's Champions Trophy has been moved to India after Sri Lanka were stripped of hosting rights because of government interference in their cricket board, the International Cricket Council announced on Wednesday.
The Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai and the Vadodara International Cricket Stadium will host the T20 tournament, from February 14 to 28.
Sri Lanka will feature after finishing in the top six of the women's T20 rankings at the qualification cut-off.
World champions Australia, England, India, New Zealand and South Africa are the other teams involved.
They will compete in a round-robin league, with the top two sides advancing to the final.
The ICC said in a statement said Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) was continuing "to make the requisite reforms".
SLC is currently being run by a government-appointed committee, brought in to oversee reforms to the board.
But having a national board run by political appointees goes against ICC rules.
