SA20 and rain partner to connect fans in Season 2
Betway SA20 and South Africa’s leading 4G and 5G network operator, rain, will once again be connecting fans throughout the summer with the announcement of the renewal of their partnership. The two-year agreement, which sees rain come on board as ‘proud 4G and 5G partner’, builds on the incredible success of the previous season, where rain joined in on the action-packed semifinals and final.
South Africa’s premier T20 league and the 4G and 5G network operator are the perfect fit, with innovation, entertainment, and the fans at the centre of both brands. In 2024, the partnership will bring more opportunities for 4G and 5G connectivity for fans, whether watching live or streaming the 34 matches, making rain the ultimate network partner for both home and away.
“We are thrilled to be partnering with rain as our 4G and 5G network operator partner, “Betway SA20 League Commissioner, Graeme Smith said. “We are committed to innovation, entertainment and keeping our fans connected. We are jointly working on a number of creative elements for season 2 and cannot wait to bring this partnership to life. Our ongoing ambition is to connect fans to SA20 and make sure they don’t miss a moment of quality cricket and entertainment during the season.”
The inaugural season of Betway SA20 was an unprecedented success, with packed stadiums, world-class cricket, and unparalleled entertainment taking centre stage of the South African summer. More of the same is expected in Season 2.
“As a proudly South African company, we are crazy about the game of cricket and the incredible opportunities and engagements that this tournament brings to the fans in the stadium as well as on the other side of a screen. We will be doing everything we can to grow the spirit of cricket inside stadiums, and on the streets, parks and living rooms across the country” Brandon Leigh, rain CEO said.
rain has been a loyal supporter of South African sporting events, sponsoring the 3TC Solidarity Cup match to support those affected by Covid in 2020 and the Rugby World Cup Sevens 2022 and the Betway SA20 in 2023. With its latest partnership with Betway SA20, rain continues to bring fans closer to the game they love both at home and at the matches, with their 4G and 5G connectivity offerings.
The second season of Betway SA20 gets underway on 10 January when defending Champions, Sunrisers Eastern Cape take on Joburg Super Kings at St George’s Park.
