UP Warriorz thrashed RCB by 10 wickets as they chased down 139 in just 13 overs in their Women’s Indian Premier League (WIPL) clash in Mumbai on Friday.
UPW’s captain Alyssa Healy struck a WPL record 96* from 47 balls to help her side to a second win in three games.
For Royal Challengers Bangalore, this defeat leaves them without a win in four games as their batting failed once again.

Earlier, Ellyse Perry’s innings of 52 (38) held the RCB batting together as they stuttered to 138 all out.
With the ball, international spinners Deepti Sharma and Sophie Ecclestone were brilliant, coming away with figures of 3-26 and 4-13 from their respective four overs.
UPW bowled 17 overs of spin as the only overs of pace came from left-arm seamer Anjali Sarvani, who was also the best of an outstanding bunch in the field.
For RCB, it was another under-par batting display, collapsing from 73-1 to 138 all out.
Sophie Devine showed her intent early, cover driving the returning Grace Harris for a boundary and then hitting a brutal slog sweep for six in her first two balls.
Her innings of 36 from 24 balls lifted RCB to 54-1 from the powerplay overs, losing their captain Smriti Mandhana early.
Australia international Ellyse Perry picked up the slack, stroking 52 stylish runs in a innings-building partnership with Devine.
ECCLESTONE DELIVERS
In response to RCB’s fast start, Healy turned to her experienced spinners in Ecclestone and Sharma.
While Sharma was expensive early on, Ecclestone’s class shone through. An arm ball scud through to dismiss Devine for 36, combined with some typically miserly bowling clamped the brakes on RCB’s acceleration.
Perry was able to keep up a good strike rate, but those around her struggled to find the boundary.
Deepti Sharma came back well and, in the 11th over, Kanika Ahuja was caught on the deep midwicket boundary for 8 off 10 balls.
Having caught Ahuja for her second of the evening, Anjali Sarvani’s next action was to run out England’s captain Heather Knight with a smooth one-handed pick-up and throw.
Knight and Perry share equal blame for the wicket as hesitation, rather than miscommunication, lead to the English batter’s demise.
Ecclestone returned to take two wickets in the last over to complete her 4-fer and bowl RCB out for 138.
In reply, Healy and Devika Vaidya sped UPW to 55 in the powerplay, putting the result beyond doubt early on.
Healy was excellent and struck ten boundaries on the way to reaching her fifty from 29 balls.
Vaidya, promoted up the order for this match, provided able support, potentially solving UPW’s opener question for the rest of the tournament.
Erin Burns and Perry bowled tidily, but it was a case of too little too late for RCB with the ball on another disappointing evening for Mandhana’s side.
