Polokwane City will lock horns with Lamontville Golden Arrows in an Absa Premiership match at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Sunday.

Kick-off is at 3:30 pm CAT.

Rise and Shine are winless in their last two league matches after losing 1-0 to Baroka FC away last weekend.

The defeat left them 16th on the league standings - two points behind 11th placed Stellensboch FC.

Clinton Larsen, the Polokwane coach, is hopeful that his side will return to winning ways ahead of their clash with Arrows.

"The league is very tight and for us, it is about getting the results sooner rather than later," Larsen said.

"I am confident if my boys keep playing this way, the results will come and I thought we had some outstanding performances in the middle of the park from Themba Chauke and Kabelo Mahlasela."

Meanwhile, Arrows snapped their four-match winless run in the league when they defeated Baroka 1-0 at home last week.

As a result, Abafana Bes'thende are placed ninth on the league standings - a point behind sixth-placed Bloemfontein Celtic.

Steve Komphela, the Arrows coach, is wary of Polokwane, who are coached by a former Abafana Bes'thende mentor.

"They are more dangerous now. They are fighting for their lives and they throw everything at you," Komphela said.

"It’s not going to be different on Sunday. The worst part is that we are playing against our former coach Clinton Larsen who knows most of the players here, knows how we play…”
