The Central African Republic arrived in Douala, Cameroon at the stasrt of the weeeknd just over a week before their vital Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Angola as they seek to reach the finals for the first time.
The Central African Republic host Angola in Douala on Saturday, June 17 and a win in their penultimate Group E game would be enough to see them qualify and eliminate Angola from the running.
They have seven points from four games, two more than the Angolans. Ghana lead the group standings with eight points and are away against bottom-placed Madagascar on June 18.
The Central African Republic squad have been training in Bangui this week but left for Douala, where the match is being hosted because there are no suitable facilities in the Central African Republic.
They have entered the Cup of Nations qualifiers since 1974 but never been able to reach the finals in 10 attempts.
Their best previous effort came in the qualifiers for the 2017 finals when they finished second behind the Democratic Republic of Congo, higher than Anhgola who were also in the same group.
