Royal AM will take on Richards Bay in their next Betway Premiership match at the Harry Gwala Stadium on Tuesday evening.

Kick-off is at 7:30 pm CAT (SA, GMT+2)

CURRENT FORM

Royal AM are yet to lose a match and are currently occupying 9th position on the log. They drew their first two matches in the Betway Premiership against Cape Town City and SuperSport United respectively.

Richards Bay are just one position above Thwili Twala on the league table. They lost their last league outing against Chippa United 1-0, but won their first match in the league against TS Galaxy with the same scoreline.

WHAT WAS SAID

With Royal AM chairman Andile Mpisane in the team fold, head coach John Maduka is hoping that the player can continue to improve.

“So far so good, there are certain areas he needs to improve on and we will keep working on those and we look forward to the next game,” said Maduka.

Newly appointed head coach Brandon Truter has set his ambitions for the season with Richards Bay and is targeting a top-eight finish in the Betway Premiership.

“Top-eight is the target,” he said.

“I have not finished a season outside the top eight, but personally it’s game by game, and we want to win every game that we play.”

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Andile Mpisane, Royal AM - Technically the chairman of the club, Andile Mpisane is starting to feature more for the team on the pitch, grabbing the attention of fans and the media. Looking promising in the team’s last fixture, Maduka will hope Mpisane turns up in this fixture should he feature.

Keegan Allan, Richards Bay - The defender scored in the team’s opener against TS Galaxy and will be hoping to grab a clean sheet in this fixture with his defensive skills. The 23-year-old is a young talent who also offers attacking threat in set pieces.
