Chippa United will be looking to keep the momentum going when they host Sekhukhune United at the Chatsworth Stadium on Tuesday in the DStv Premiership.
Kick-off is at 5pm CAT (SA, GMT+2)
The Chilli Boys claimed a surprise 2-1 victory against Kaizer Chiefs at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday to make it three league wins on the spin for the first time in six years.
Morgan Mammila's side had to come from behind to beat Amakhosi, who took the lead through Siyabonga Ngezana in the 44th minute, only to see Siphelele Luthuli equalise on 54 minutes before a last-minute own-goal from Edmilson Dove completed the turnaround.
The latest three-point haul lifted Chippa up to seventh in the standings and Mammila was pleased that his plan bore fruit against Chiefs, admitting they adopted a training drill to keep possession in the game.
"Credit goes to the boys, they stuck to the plan. I said we're going to dictate this game on our terms and we've done that," Mammila said in his post-match interview.
"It was difficult because we haven't played for close to a month. We didn't want to go pound-for-pound with Chiefs because they were going to kill us. What must we do now? Let's play around with them so that they must not come to your defence ... and they [my boys] did that.
"Credit to my boys, I don't have anything to say. Whatever we are doing for the past three weeks, this is the fruit for it."
Babina Noko will attempt to get back on the winning trail in Durban after a 3-1 defeat at SuperSport United last time out halted a three-match unbeaten run.
Kaitano Tembo's team had taken points off Cape Town City, Stellenbosch and Orlando Pirates prior to that and they occupy 13th place, just one point shy of the relegation zone after suffering their fourth loss in 10 outings.
Tembo conceded they were made to pay for defending set-pieces poorly which led to Matsatsantsa's three goals, although he felt his players lifted their performance in the second half.
"We didn't have a good start, first half we were very slow, second to the ball," he said. "I mentioned before the game that we needed to have a good start and deal with the set-plays and their three goals came from set-plays.
"So if you can defend better the set-plays, we have a chance against them but we didn't do that. Second-half performance was better, but the only problem is you're already chasing the game so it's quite difficult."
PLAYERS TO WATCH:
Chippa United
Siphelele Luthuli: The 27-year-old midfielder has another good game against Chiefs and finally opened his account for the campaign with the equaliser early in the second half. Luthuli was unfortunate not to claim an assist as well after Etiosa Ighodaro's goal was wrongly ruled out for offside in the 52nd minute.
Azola Matrose: The 19-year-old midfielder caused the Glamour Boys all sorts of problems down the left flank with his pace and it was from one of his surging runs that led to Ighodaro's chalked-off effort. Matrose recently got off the mark with the winner against AmaZulu and has featured in nine of Chippa's 10 league matches this term.
Sekhukhune United
Victor Letsoalo: The 29-year-old winger has struggled to replicate the form he showed at former club Royal AM last season, scoring just once in 10 appearances for his new employers. However, Letsoalo did manage to register his second assist in the loss to SuperSport, setting up Thamsanqa Masiya to pull one back in the second half.
Wonderboy Makhubu: The 25-year-old midfielder will be pushing for just his second start of the season after injecting some much-needed energy into the team following his introduction at halftime against Matsatsantsa. Makhubu joined Sekhukhune in the off-season after impressing for University of Pretoria in the Motsepe Foundation Championship last term.
