Chippa last tasted victory on the 21st of September, where they oversaw a 1-0 win against Richards Bay FC on home soil.
While Chippa occupy 7th position after three matches played, TS Galaxy dangle in 14th place after back-to-back 1-0 defeats against Richards Bay and SuperSport United respectively.
WHAT WAS SAID
Chippa United head coach Kwanele Kopo highlighted the importance of collecting points consistently ahead of the Eastern Cape side’s fixture against the Rockets.
“It’s a major result for us [1-1 draw with Sekhukhune United],” Kopo said.
“It’s important that we don’t lose games, that we don’t become a yo-yo team where you win and then you lose and then you draw.
“Its important to collect points and its very important to collect points away from home. We matched them [Sekhukhune] in many areas and we’ll take the point.
“Now we rest and prepare for TS Galaxy at home.”
PLAYERS TO WATCH
Chippa United: Bienvenu Eva Nga – The powerful forward was at his menacing best against Sekhukhune last time out, particularly during the opening stages of the match. After getting his name on the scoresheet, Eva Nga will no doubt enter the Galaxy game high in confidence.
TS Galaxy: Puso Dithejane – Despite Galaxy’s poor run of form, Dithejane has been a bright light for the Kameelrivier side during the early stages of the 2024/25 campaign. The 20-year-old’s presence in the middle of the pitch makes him a key figure for coach Sead Ramovic, especially when building up play from defensive quarters.
