Galaxy, meanwhile, suffered their third defeat of the season and sit 12th. Coach Bernard Parker will be keen to guide the Rockets to an away win over Orlando Pirates on 18 October.
Although the Rockets dominated possession, the Chilli Boys were more threatening in the first half as Ira Tape made two saves, one denying former Orlando Pirates attacker Azola Matrose.
Those stops kept the visitors at bay, sending both teams into halftime at 0-0, and 2025/26 Motsepe Foundation Championship livewire Ntukhuko Mlotshwa was Chippa's main threat.
The Chilli Boys kept hunting for the first goal and found it in the 62nd minute. Harold Majadibodu scored his second career Betway Premiership goal to put Chippa 1-0 up thanks to Abbubaker Mobara's assist.
Parker responded by sending on Zimbabwean attacker Junior Zindoga in the 68th minute as the hosts looked to level matters, but Chippa held their shape at the back and closed out a 1-0 victory over Galaxy.
