Mamelodi Sundowns have completed the signing of Moroccan centre-back Abdelmounaim Boutouil, his former club SCC Mohammedia have confirmed.
The 24-year-old is the natural successor to the Brazilian Ricardo Nascimento as a player who can feature on the left-hand side of a centre-back pairing.
Sundowns had been chasing his signature for more than a year and he joins after a loan spell at giants Raja Casablanca in the 2021/22 season.
He becomes the third signing for the club in this window after midfielder Sipho Mbule from SuperSport United and striker Abubeker Nassir from Ethiopian Coffee.
