Moagi looking forward to rubbing shoulders with PSL stars
Mamelodi Sundowns DStv Diski Challenge midfielder Kabelo Moagi is looking forward to rubbing his shoulder with some of the best players in the Premier Soccer League.
The Sundowns Diski Challenge lad is one of the lads selected to be part of the new DStv Compact Cup that will be played over the next two Saturdays at Moses Mabhida Stadium and FNB Stadium.
Moagie will represent Dinaledi FC alongside six of the Sundowns senior team players.
Excited, Moagi said, “I am looking forward to seeing the likes of Sipho Mbule, Teboho Mokoena, Kermit Erasmus, Lesedi Kapinga and others; these are some of the best players in the PSL.
“It is not going to be an easy road, but there is no other choice but to work hard and showcase my talent. I will play my best and make everyone who voted for me proud. [These players] are also players just like, and they started [their journey] where I am today.
The Compact Cup combines all the 16 Premier Soccer League teams with the spectator, coaches and players collaborating to form a team of their choice to compete in the tournament.
For the first time, rivals will become friends as players from opposite teams come together under one name and compete to take home one million rands cash prize.
Moagi added: “I just have to apply what I know and what is expected of me in the team. I am honoured to play alongside the best players in the league and grateful to be a recipient in this competition and I’m grateful to the PSL for the opportunity. I can’t wait for this tournament to begin.”
