Kaizer Chiefs youngster Wandile Duba has vowed to keep scoring for Amakhosi as he targets to be among the top scorers at the end of the season.
Duba scored four goals in his last two matches for Chiefs. He scored a hattrick when they beat Marumo Gallants 4-0 and added another one when they thumped Chippa United 4-1 last Sunday.
He now has six goals in total this season, and he is confident that there are more to come.
He is not fazed by the fact that some of his peers have already scored 13 goals [leading goal scorer Boitumelo Radiopane of Orlando Pirates].
"The supporters must expect more goals from me. I have set my ambition to score more goals since the start of this year and I want to be in the list of the top scorers in the DStv Diski Challenge," said the cool-headed Duba.
Duba gave credit to his teammates for his goal-scoring heroics, saying he could not have managed to get the goals without them.
"I wish to thank my teammates for creating the opportunity to score the goals. If it was not for my teammates, I was not going to score this hat-trick," Duba says modestly.
Duba concluded: "Credit must also go to the coaching team, we worked hard throughout the week. They took us through hard training this week again and hence the results."
After a poor run toward the end of 2021, Chiefs have seen some improvement in the new year.
They climbed the table to position eight, having amassed 19 points from 14 games.
Chiefs' next game is on Saturday when they welcome Sekhukhune United United at FNB Stadium at 12pm CAT.
