Neo Bohloko became the youngest player to ever score a goal in the DStv Diski Challenge.

The 14-year-old was introduced in the second half of the match between Kaizer Chiefs and Golden Arrows at Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium in Durban.

Chiefs were leading Arrows by 1-0 when he was introduced.

The promising midfielder made an instant change in the match, helping his side put pressure on Arrows' defence.

Towards the end of the match, Bohloko finished off what was a great team effort finding the back of the net in the 80th minute to help Chiefs best Arrows 2-0.

Mfundo Vilakazi had opened the scoreboard with a stunning free-kick at the stroke of halftime.

The victory means Amakhosi have completed a double over Arrows, whom they thumped 5-0 a week ago at Dobsonville Stadium.

Bohloko made his Diski Challenge debut on 8 January when Chiefs played against Stellenbosch FC.

Chiefs coach Vela Khumalo has been singing the praises of the youngster and this could just be the beginning for him.

Former SuperSport United striker Sthembiso Kurata previously was the youngest player to have scored in Diski Challenge at 15.

TITLE RACE

Cape Town City walloped Sekhulhune United 8-3 to maintain their place at the top of the Diski Challenge. The Citizens are now sitting on 36 points after 16 matches.

Pirates kept their title chase alive after collecting maximum points at the expense of Maritzburg United. The Buccaneers defeated Maritzburg 2-0 to reach 33 points which will see them keeping second place for another weekend.

Stellenbosch FC 1-3 SuperSport United

Meanwhile, in other matches that took place this weekend, Mamelodi Sundowns' inconsistent performance continued as they were defeated 1-0 by Richards Bay FC.

It looked like the two sides would take home a point each, but the Natal Rich Boys pilled immense pressure on Downs defence and they succumbed to it, resulting in an own goal.
