Devin Tutus broke the deadlock in the first six-minute of the match to put the South African side in the lead.

But his goal was cancelled just before 15 minutes when the home team pulled one back through Collins Sam.

Stellenbosch upped their tempo and they scored two more goals through Titus who got a brace on the day and Antonio Van Wyk who made it 3-1 heading to the break.

In the second half Stellies coach Evangelos Vellios introduced striker Roy-Keane Aventuur in the second half and the 20-year-old completed the job in the 52nd minute when he made it 4-1.

Stellies started the second half well, and Boji was denied by the keeper in the second minute, while Joshua Wood shot just wide in the 48th minute.

Having only just come off the bench, Roy-Keane Avontuur was set up by Boji and he made it 4-1 in the 54th minute.

Stellies could have scored more goals in the second half following their dominance but could not convert.

Stellenbosch will now face Leicester City in the Midlands final on Saturday [2H00, SA time].

Leicester booked their place in the final by beating Indian Super League Bengaluru 6-3.

The Premier League Next Gen Cup, established in 2019, falls under a long-standing Mutual Cooperation Agreement between the Premier League and the Indian Super League (ISL) to collaboratively support the growth of the local game in India with a focus on youth and referee development.

For the first time the event is being hosted in the UK and presents an incredible opportunity for Mzansi to promote its local emerging talent.
