Kaizer Chiefs maintained their place at the top of the DStv Diski Challenge table with a comfortable 2-0 victory over Polokwane City on Sunday.

Donnay Jansen continued with his fine form, netting his goal number seven in five matches this season.

Prince Manku scored his first goal of the season which ensured Amakhosi earned their fourth victory of the season and moved from 10 to 13 points after five matches.

Before the weekend matches, five teams, Chiefs, Royal AM, Sekhukhune United, Orlando Pirates and TS Galaxy had 10 points for each team.

However, Amakhosi were the only side that managed to get maximum points from the quintet.

Sekhukhune were held to a 1-1 draw by Richards Bay. They will keep the second spot with 11 points.

Babina Noko and Chiefs are the only two teams yet to taste a defeat in the Diski challenge so far this season.

Mamelodi Sundowns, who did not have a great start, are slowly picking up as they moved to third spot with 11 points, the same as Sekhukhune, with only goal difference separating them.

Pirates flew to Cape Town to face Cape Town City FC and returned to Johannesburg empty-handed as they suffered a 1-0 defeat.

The defeat leaves Pirates in fourth place with 10 points after five matches.
