DStv Diski Challenge fans were treated to another goal-fest this weekend as teams such as Maritzburg United, SuperSport United, and Stellenbosch FC thrashed respective opponents.
SuperSport United got things going in the early kick-off on Saturday with a 5-2 hammering of AmaZulu as Tendamudzimu Matodzi and Thalente Mbatha rose to the occasion, scoring a brace each while the other goal came from Thabang Mahlangu.
Maritzburg United then outclassed Cape Town City FC 5-2 in another seven-goal thriller.
Swallows FC 4-3 Golden Arrows
Swallows FC also emerged victorious in another thrilling encounter where seven goals were scored when they beat two-time Diski Challenge champions Golden Arrows 4-3 to register their fifth victory of the campaign.
Tiniko Sithole and Mnqobi Mkhize gave the Birds a two-goal lead early in the first stanza, but Masaladi and Senzo Hlophe got two goals from behind to level matters for Arrows going into the halftime break.
Mkhize made it 3-2 for Swallows on the hour-mark and completed his brace, but Bongumusa Nkosi equalised again for Abafana Bes'thende 22 minutes before time.
However, Phelelani Mvelase eventually snatched the winner ten minutes from time for the visitors.
Baroka FC 0-5 Stellenbosch FC
Stellenbosch kept their title hopes alive when they thumped Baroka FC 5-0 in Lebowakgomo on Sunday.
Stellies have scored 44 goals this season, which is more than any other side in the Diski Challenge.
However, they remain second behind Orlando Pirates in the Diski Challenge, with 46 points from 21 games.
TS Galaxy 0-2 Orlando Pirates
Orlando Pirates got their revenge when they defeated TS Galaxy 2-0 on Sunday afternoon at Tsakane Stadium.
Thabiso Monyane gave the Buccaneers a dream start with the opener in just the third minute, and Cassius Spandiel got the second goal eight minutes later. Pirates had to settle the score after Galaxy had ended their eight-match winning run in January.
Kaizer Chiefs 0-1 Royal AM
Kaizer Chiefs suffered their tenth campaign defeat after going down 1-0 against Royal AM on Saturday afternoonat Mpumalanga Stadium.
The sides entered the halftime break deadlocked, and Keletso Sifama had a chance to give Chiefs the lead from the penalty spot early in the second stanza, but he missed the target.
Royal AM were also awarded a penalty in the last two minutes of the match, and Xolani Phewa made no mistake scoring the game's only goal.
Mamelodi Sundowns 1-1 Marumo Gallants
Mamelodi Sundowns extended their winless streak to four matches after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Marumo Gallants on Sunday morning at Tsakane Stadium.
Thando Buthelezi broke the deadlock for Sundowns nine minutes before the halftime break, but Thato Mabunda levelled matters for Bahlabane Ba Ntwa just before the hour-mark.
Sekhukhune United 0-1 Chippa United
Chippa United continued their impressive run as they edged Sekhukhune United 1-0 on Saturday.
Kamohelo Hoala scored the only goal of the match to keep the Chilli Boys in the title race. Chippa remains third on the log with 10 points behind Pirates, who are at the top with 49 points from 21 games.
