Thirty minutes before kick-off, the township of Moletsane was buzzing with fans headed to the football.
AT Mambas were without Xolani BlackBerry Nkala for this game, which proved to be a very tactical encounter. Lorenzo Eckerley scored his fifth goal of the tournament in the 59th minute, giving Mambas the lead with 30 minutes to go.
Lebogang Sentsho made it 1-1 in the 70th minute, setting up an entertaining last 20 minutes between the rivals.
It ended 1-1 after 90 minutes, and the lottery of penalties had to decide the winner. Skepe won 5-4 on penalties, securing R250 000 in prize-money.
Tricky Boys were crowned Plate Cup winners and walked away with R70 000. They beat P&S Academy 3-1.
