Komphela returns to Sundowns
Mamelodi Sundowns have confirmed the return of Steve Komphela as senior coach to assist Manqoba Mngqithi, who is back in charge of the side following the departure of Rulani Mokwena this week.

The vastly experienced Komphela served in the same role for three seasons from 2020/21 before leaving for a spell at Moroka Swallows and then a second stint at Lamontville Golden Arrows in the second half of the last campaign.
"I am very excited to be back at Mamelodi Sundowns where I was always inspired and treated with respect and love. I am committed to contributing to the club achieving its goals in South Africa and on the African continent," Komphela said in a statement released by Sundowns on Saturday.
The well-travelled Komphela has also previously been head coach at Manning Rangers, Dynamos, Maritzburg United, Free State Stars, Platinum Stars, Kaizer Chiefs and Bloemfontein Celtic.
He also had a stint as national Under-23 coach, and as assistant and caretaker coach of Bafana Bafana.
