Chippa United will face off with Marumo Gallants in a DStv Premiership match at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Saturday.
Kick-off is at 3pm CAT (SA, GMT2).
The Chilli Boys breathed a sigh of relief when they defeated AmaZulu FC 2-1 away last weekend - ending a four-match winless run in the league.
The Eastern Cape side now finds itself 13th on the DStv Premiership standings and a win over Gallants could elevate the Chilli Boys into the top eight on the log.
Chippa assistant coach Morgan Mammila revealed what he told the players prior to their clash with AmaZulu and he turned his attention to their match against Gallants.
"I told these boys to go and play, we start from the back and we shouldn't be shaken by any other team," Mammila said.
"Five of the AmaZulu players are from Chippa. We know them. So why can't we play? let us go and play and show other teams that we are here to play football.
"From here we forget about this game, there is an important game next week on Saturday. That is where we are looking at now."
Meanwhile, Gallants' woes in the DStv Premiership continued last weekend when they drew 1-1 with Kaizer Chiefs at home - extending their winless run to 12 matches.
Unsurprisingly, Bahlabane Ba Ntwa are placed 15th on the league standings, but a win over Chippa would see the Limpopo-side climb out of the relegation zone.
Gallants' interim coach Raymond Mdaka reflected on their clash with Chiefs and explained that they will have to improve defensively in order to start winning matches.
"We had several players who were out injured. We have to take the point, we wanted a win but we take the point," Mdaka said.
“We’re the only team that is yet to win [this term], it gives me stress. We’ve got six draws and one loss. In most of the games we drew, we were leading and conceded very late.
"Conceding late goals is the main reason we’re here. If we can defend well towards the end of games, we’ll start to win games."
