Therefore, Rise and Shine secured a top-eight finish as they finished eighth which saw the Limpopo side qualify for next season's MTN8.
Galaxy, on the other hand, concluded their campaign in the sixth spot.
Rise and Shine got off to a bright start with Oswin Appollis looking lively for the home side.
The Bafana Bafana international broke the deadlock in the 25th minute when beat goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari to hand Polokwane a 1-0 lead.
The hosts then pushed for another goal which saw Sibusiso Tshabalala force Ntwari to make a decent save in the 33rd minute.
