Komphela leaves Sundowns, joins PSL rivals

Mamelodi Sundowns have announced the departure of assistant coach Steve Komphela and appointment as head coach of Swallows FC on their official website on Sunday.

Sundowns Chairman Tlhopie Motsepe expressed gratitude for his contribution at the club.

“Steve Komphela served Mamelodi Sundowns with loyalty and devotion and will always be a member of the Mamelodi Sundowns Family. "We wish him all the best", he said on the club's website.

Komphela will be assisted by Musa Nyatama and the newly recruited assistant coach Ditheko Mototo.

Komphela will take over reigns on July 4th while Sundowns is currently busy with pre-season and will travel to Rustenburg next week.
