Both BetKing Ethiopia Premier League ties took place at the Adama Science and Technology University Stadium.

The day produced goals galore with 11 scored in total as Surafel Dagnachew, Minyelu Wondimu and Bitrus Markos all notched braces.

Fasil drew first blood in the ninth minute through Dagnachew and their signing of legendary striker Getaneh Kebede paid off as he got on the scoresheet next to give them a 2-0 lead.

Hawassa pulled one back straight after the restart courtesy of Tafese Solomon while Ali Suleiman scored the equaliser in the 55th minute.

Bereket Samuel struck next to give Hawassa a 3-2 lead in the 80th minute.

Their joy though was short-lived as Dagnachew completed his brace with only five minutes to go to ensure the spoils were shared.

Wondimu, Mekelakeya's midfield general, restored their lead in the 29th minute and they took their 2-1 advantage into the break.

The second half was explosive as Hadiya searched for the equaliser. Their efforts paid off when they won a penalty and Markos stepped up to convert the spot kick in the 77th minute.

Ten minutes later, Wondimu completed his brace to give Mekelakeya the winning goal in the 87th minute.
