Bahir Dar top Adama, Hadiya beat Dire Dawa

Bahir Dar City enhanced their impressive close season with a 3-2 win over Adama City after coming from behind twice.

Hadiya Hossana beat Dire Dawa City 3-1 in the second game at the Hawassa International Stadium.

Elias Legese gave Adama City a 3rd minute lead to go 1-0 up but Yeabssira Tesfaye equalized for Bahir Dar in the 10th minute.

Both sides went into halftime tied at 1-1 each and all to play for in the second half.

Adama went 2-1up in the 64th minute through youth prodigy, Yosef Tarekegn but a spirited fightback by Bahir Dar City produced some result.

Wondwessen Belete scored for Bahir Dar to bring the game to 2-2 and fortune shone brightly for them at the dead.

An own goal by Adama defender, Fikru Alemayehu gifted Bahir Dar a 90+2 minutes winning goal, 3-2 the final score in favour of Bahir Dar City.

Bahir Dar City with 49 points are ranked 3rd on the log, with Adama 5th on 44 points

Hadiya Hossana also scored an early goal against Dire Dawa in the 3rd minute through Girma Bekele who gave them a 1-0 lead.

Kaleab Wubshet made it 2-0 in the 65th minute and they were 3-0 up in the 89th minute through Semere Haftey.

However, a late goal by Ednan Meki on 90+5 minutes ensured that the game finished 3-1for Hadiya Hossana to move up to 9th place with 38 points behind Dire Dawa City in 8th.
