Ethiopia Coffee in title race, Hadiya and Dire Dawa share spoils

Ethiopia Coffee's revival in the Ethiopia Premier League continued on Friday, while Hadiya Hossana and Dire Dawa had to settle for a share of the spoils in a goalless draw.

Ethiopia Coffee proved too hot to handle for Ethiopian Insurance, winning 3-0.

Anteneh Tefera was the star of the show with a hat-trick to spark massive Coffee celebrations.

Tefera provided the spark for Ethiopia Coffee in the 25th minute with a searing shot from inside the box to give them a 1-0 lead.

Tefera doubled their advantage just two minutes into the second half and sealed his hat-trick on 59 minutes.

The victory has finally launched Ethiopia Coffee into the title race as they move into fourth place with 22 points, just two points behind rivals St George on 24 points. 

Ethiopia Nigd Bank are second with 29 points, with new leaders Mekelakeya on top with 30 points.
