St George and Bahir Dar in big match fixture
The biggest game of week six in the Ethiopian premier League features the biggest rivals from last season, St George and Bahir Dar City at Adama Science and Technology University Stadium
St George are top of the table with Bahir Dar in 7th, but all eyes will be on this game followed by the second game featuring St George's neighbors, Ethiopia Coffee taking on Hadiya Hossana.
St George have won the League over the last two seasons of the Ethiopian premier league and are odds on favourites for a hattrick of titles, but Bahir Dar finished second just four points behind them, they must fancy their chances of going one better.
Both teams participated in CAF Champions League and the CAF Confederations Cup this season before being knocked out in the second round.
St George are unbeaten this season and lead 13 points from the five matches, four wins, one draw and Zerihum Shengeta's team also the highest scorer of the league thanks to Abel Yalew.
The good news for the team ahead of this crucial match is Binyam Belay is back to pitch after few weeks out.
The appearance of Binyam will increase the creativeness of the team.
Degeareg Yigzaw's Bahir Dar City have not started the season as expected but we can't say that it's that bad.
They are in 8th with 7 points as they won two games, drew two and lost one game.
They have scored nine goals as they conceded the same number of goals as St George.
Both sides have faced each other nine times as St George won three, Bahir Dar have won two and other four ended in draws.
The the other fixture of the day has two teams led by new Coaches, as Sidama Coffee takes on Hadiya Hosanna.
Sidama Bunna started the season with Seyoum Kebede and high expectations, but they haven't lived up to the hype in the first five league matches.
They are 11th with 4 points with one win and one draw as they lost on three occasions culminating in the departure of Seyoum Kebede.
Hadiya Hosanna also started the season the same as Sidama Coffee with a lot of expectations.
Their winless start in five matches saw them also part ways with their coach Yohannes Sahile.
They drew on three and lost two games to see them down in the 13th position on the table.
This is their 9th league head to head match with Hadiya Hosanna on top with four wins and Sidama winning two times and both sides played out two draws.
