Wolkite City forced Arbaminch City to a 2-2 draw in the last game of Week 16 of the BetKing Ethiopia Premier League on Thursday.
It was a memorable afternoon for fans at the Dire Dawa International Stadium.
Ahmed Hussein got the party going for Arbaminch when he shot them into an early lead in the 12th minute.
Wolkite captain Getaneh Kebede equalised in the 54th minute and took the lead in the 65th minute courtesy of a goal from Abel Negashe.
Arbaminch City finally clawed their way back into the contest through their Kenyan star, Eric Capito, with four minutes to go before the final whistle.
The result doesn't really help either team, but it gives them something to build on with Wolkite in 11th and Arbaminch in 14th position on the log.
Wolkite may need to find more goals beyond Getaneh Kebede.
