Sidama Coffee and Shashemene City Coach, Ato Tsagaye Wondemu were included in the punishments announced by the Ethiopia Premier League.
The Ethiopian Premier League Competition Leadership and Discipline Committee held a meeting on Monday, October 23, 2023, and passed decisions after examining the disciplinary report submitted by the referees and observers of the Ethiopian Premier League matches.
In the scheduled games of the week, four were lost and the remaining four ended in a draw.
A total of 17 goals were scored by 16 players. 34 yellow cards are given to players and team leaders, there were no recorded red cards.
According to the decisions passed on the clubs, in the third-week match between Sidama Coffee and Fasil Kenema, five players of the Sidama Coffee team were given cards for various offences and they were fined the sim of Birr 5000 (Five thousand Birr) according to the disciplinary guidelines of the EFF.
In the match between Ethiopia Coffee Club and Bahir Dar city, a report was submitted about the club's fans insulting the referees and the player of the opposing team.
It was decided to pay 50 000 Birr for the offence committed by the club's fans.
In addition, the team leader, and head coach of Shashemene city, Ato Tsagaye Wondemu, has been summoned to the competition and ceremony committee to talk to him.
