Hawassa, Fasil and Adama sanctioned

The trio of Hawassa City, Fasil Kenema and Adama City topped the Ethiopian Premier League disciplinary sanctions for Week 16.

The Ethiopian Premier League's disciplinary committee released the measures after reviewing the Week 16th matches held at the Dire Dawa International Stadium,

There were big winners throughout the week as only only one game ended in a draw.

The three clubs were fined 5 000 Birr each because five of their players received yellow cards.

Additionally, Wollayita Dicha's Abnet Demissie and Ethiopia Medhin's Addis Tesfaye were suspended for one match each as their yellow card count reached five.

In addition to the suspension, they will each pay a fine of 1 500 Birr.

Week 17 matches will start on Thursday, with Hawassa Kenema and Shashmene Kenema kicking off proceedings.
