Ethiopia Coffee produced their highest scoring game of the Ethiopian Premier League season on Sunday when they walloped Hambericho 6-1, while Hawassa pipped Hadiya Hossana 2-1.
Amanuel Yohannis opened the scoring for Ethiopia Coffee with a 16th-minute penalty.
Amanual Admasu doubled their advantage in 32nd.
Anteneh Tefera scored the third goal on 52 minutes and Coffee would add another as Mohammadnur Nasir made it 4-0 in the 72nd minute.
Alazar Admasu pulled one back for Hambericho in the 74th minute but Chala Teshita restored the four-goal advantage for Coffee with a fifth goal.
Mohamednur Nasir completed his brace to earn Ethiopia Coffee an emphatic 6-1 victory.
Ethiopia Coffee go fourth with 44 points while Hambericho remain rooted at the bottom of the table.
In the day's other match Hawassa City beat Hadiya Hossana 2-1, much to the delight of their 'home fans'.
Israel Eshetu had given Hadiya the opening goal in the 11th minute and they held onto their slender lead at halftime.
Former Hadiya Hossana striker Dawa Hotessa proved to be their nemesis when he equalised for Hawassa.
Hotessa struck in the 52nd minute to bring the tie to 1-1 but Ali Suleiman converted a 71st-minute penalty for Hawassa City to give them a 2-1 victory that moved moved up the ninth on the log.
