Arbaminch City hosts Wolkite City in the final game of week 16 of the BetKing Ethiopia Premier League on Thursday with all to play for.

The encounter at the Dire Dawa International Stadium will be the only game on Thursday and brings the week 16 fixtures to an end.

It was originally billed as one of the two games scheduled to mark the Day of the Adwa victory celebrations but was rained off.

Wolkite are 11th on the log with Arbaminch in relegation waters down at 14th and both sides have managed just one win each in their last 5 games.

A win for Wolkite takes them right up to 6th but Arbaminch will shoot right next to Wolkite on the same 20 points as their opponents and maybe higher on goal difference depending on the scoreline.

The thing about Wolkite 's fortunes in this League is that they are intrinsically linked with those of their legendary Captain, Getaneh Kebede.

Kebede is one of Ethiopia's greatest Players and indeed the League's all-time biggest draws.

When Kebede is on fire, Wolkite wins, but when he fires blanks, they really struggle.

Arbaminch do have their own talisman, in Temesgen Derese whose combination with the likes of Merihun Meskel and Ashenafi Fida has been great.

Derese has been pulling the strings for them, trying to help them keep their heads above water.

He scored in their last two games in February, with Dire Dawa and Hawassa respectively and you won't bet against him scoring in this game.
