Addis Gidey and four other players sanctioned

Ethiopia Nigd Bank striker Addis Gidey and four other players were sanctioned by the Ethiopia Premier League after the Week 24 matches were reviewed.

Gidey along with Mesay Agegnehu (Bahir Dar City), Biruk Markos      (Hadiya Hosanna) and Dawa Hotessa (Hadiya Hosanna) were fined 1500 birrs for yellow cards

The players were also suspended for one game each in addition to the fines.

Wolayita Dicha's Nathanael Nasero was also suspended for one match and fined 1500 after being sent off with a second yellow card.

Meanwhile, Wolayita Dicha's and Sidama Coffee's team leaders have been summoned to the committee for some unspecified disciplinary hearings in the coming days

These suspensions will have significant impacts on the affected teams with title challenges and relegation battles raging.

Gidey is one of Ethiopia Nigd Bank's top strikers and they will be hoping to keep him out of further disciplinary troubles.

Ethiopia Nigd Bank, also known as CBE - Commercial Bank of Ethiopia, currently lead the League with six weeks to go.
