Ethiopia Nigd tops disciplinary sanctions

Ethiopia Nigd Bank, also known as Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE) has been flying high this season in the Premier League but also among the Clubs and players sanctioned after week 8 fixtures..

The Ethiopia Premier League discipline committee has fined players and clubs after reports from match referees.

The Clubs sanctioned include Ethiopia Nigd Bank, Hambericho Durame , Ethiopian Insurance and Hadiya Hosaena, all fined 5 000 birr because five or more than five players received yellow cards in their respective matches of the week.

Three players saw red cards (two yellow cards) and were suspended for one match.

They are Suleiman Hamid and Simon Peter both of Ethiopia Nigd Bank) and Wondemeneh Dereje of Ethiopia Coffee.

Hawassa City's Million Solomon Suspended for one match and 1 500 birr due to five yellow cards.

CBE were promoted to the Ethiopia Premier League this season and went on a recruitment of some of the League's finest talent.

They are currently second on the log behind League leaders, Mekelakeya.
