Arbaminch City and their goalkeeper, Abel Mamo received the biggest sanctions by the BetKing Ethiopia premier League Monday following review of disciplinary issues after week 3 matches.
A total of 35 players and team leaders have been disciplined by the Ethiopia Premier League Competition and disciplinary Committee after their meeting on October 16 after examining the disciplinary report submitted by the referees and observers of the Ethiopian Premier League match(s) and passed various decisions.
Arbaminch City’s goalkeeper, Abel Mamo, wore a jersey number that was different from the one registered, and the jersey number was outside of the allowed numbers, 1-50 in violation of the Ethiopian Premier League competition rules.
It was decided that the club should pay Birr 6000 six thousand/ in the game played by Sidama Coffee.
The Club were further fined Bahr 5000(fifty thousand) following a report insulting the referee of the day by their fans according to the disciplinary guidelines of the EFE.
There were seven games in week 3 with 6 wins and one drawn game with 22 goals were scored by 20 players.
The rescheduled game between Bahir Dar City and Faisal Kenema, which was not held due to the African Confederation Cup Qualifier, will be held on October 19 at the Bahir Dar International Stadium.
