Mozambican defender Bruno Langa has sealed a permanent transfer to Spanish second-tier side, UD Almería.

Almería have released a statement on their website confirming the capture of the versatile defender on a four-year contract.

“From the beginning, Bruno Langa's performance was outstanding, which is why the Club has decided to take him on board for four more seasons,” UD Almería’s statement reads.

“The Mozambique international featured as starter in 11 LaLiga EA Sports fixtures. The Maputo native is a great defender who also has a clear attacking vocation and a brilliant left-footed shot on him. Last season, he scored a thunderbolt from the edge of the area in Mallorca.”

Indálicos, as Almería are fondly called, have activated Langa’s option-to-buy clause. Almería were relegated from LaLiga last season alongside Granada.

The left-back earned the deal after a successful loan spell with the Spanish Segunda Division team last season. He was then on loan from the Portuguese second-tier team, GD Chaves.

The 26-year-old moved to Almería in the last January transfer window. He impressed during the loan spell.

Langa has company in Spain of compatriot Reinildo Mandava who plays for Atletico Madrid.

The former Maxaquene FC and Black Bulls FC player was a regular for the Mambas at the last Africa Cup of Nations finals in Ivory Coast.
