AmaTuks & JDR Stars headline latest MFC fixture list

As one of the feature clashes in the latest list of Motsepe Foundation Championship fixtures, the University of Pretoria and JDR Stars will do battle at the Tuks Stadium later this week as the race for PSL promotion heats up.

AmaTuks, who recorded two defeats and one draw in their last three league games, currently occupy second on the league table, four points ahead of their upcoming opponents.

JDR Stars are one of the most in-form teams in South Africa’s first division at the moment, having picked up five wins out of their last six league fixtures. With their form propelling them to challenge for a PSL promotion play-off finish, JDR are hoping to make it two wins on the spin following their 1-0 win against Casric Stars last time out.

Elsewhere, top-of-the-table Magesi will face bottom-of-the-log Platinum City Rovers at the Isak Steyl Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.

Magesi’s 11-match unbeaten run in the league came to an abrupt end this past weekend, following a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Maritzburg United at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday.

Platinum City Rovers go into their next game on the back of two consecutive losses and are three points behind both Marumo Gallants and Venda Football Academy who sit in 15th and 16th positions respectively.
