SuperSport viewers will be treated to an enthralling weekend of football with massive clashes from the Premier League, DStv Premiership and the Italian Serie A.

CITY v LIVERPOOL - Sat, 2:30pm

Saturday's viewing experience for football neutrals starts at the City of Manchester Stadium with a clash between Man City and Liverpool at 14:30 CAT, live on SuperSport Premier League.

Man City beat Liverpool 4-1 in their last Premier League meeting in April last season but they’ve not won consecutive league games against the Reds since a run of four between 1935 and 1937.

On the other hand, Liverpool have won just one of their last 14 Premier League away games against Man City (D5 L8), winning 4-1 in November 2015 in Jürgen Klopp’s first visit to the Etihad with the club. Surely a stage is set for another Premier League classic...

NEWCASTLE v CHELSEA - Sat, 5pm

Still in England, Newcastle will hope to continue their impressive rise with a home clash against Chelsea at 17:00 CAT, live on SS Premier League (DStv channel 203).

Newcastle avoided defeat in both Premier League meetings with Chelsea last season (W1 D1), having lost seven of their previous eight against the Blues.

Meanwhile, Chelsea have lost 13 Premier League away games against Newcastle (W9 D6), only losing more at Arsenal and Liverpool (15 each) in the competition. The Blues will hope for a change in fortunes this time around.

'SOWETO DERBY' - Sun, 3:30pm

Then on Sunday we have another Soweto Derby this time between Moroka Swallows and Kaizer Chiefs at 15:30 CAT live on SS PSL (DStv channel 202). This is the 45th derby game between Kaizer Chiefs and Moroka Swallows since 1996-97.

The rivalry between the teams in league games stretches back to July 1971 when they first met in a league game which Swallows won 4-2. Chiefs have dominated this fixture in the PSL era, collecting 24 wins to Swallows' eight. There have been 12 draws.

The 44 games in this fixture since 1996-97 have produced 106 goals at 2.4 per game. Of these, Kaizer Chiefs have 70 at 1.59 goals per game and Swallows have 36 goals at 0.81 goals per game.

EVERTON v MAN UNITED - Sun, 6:30pm

Then it’s back to England for a clash between Everton and Manchester United. Everton will still be reeling from a shock 10-point deduction for “a breach of the Premier League’s Profitability and Sustainability Rules” and their record against Man United is not that encouraging.

Everton have won just one of their last eight Premier League meetings with Manchester United (D4 L3) - a 1-0 home win in April 2022. Man United won this exact fixture 2-1 last season, last winning back-to-back away league games against Everton in September 2007 (a run of three).

We end the day with a trip to Italy for a clash between Juventus and Inter Milan at 21:45 CAT.
