The title & relegation battle continues in MFC

In what is building up to be another exciting list of matches in the Motsepe Foundation Championship, all eyes will be on both sides of the league table this weekend as the promotion and relegation saga continues.
At the top end of the table, Cape Town Spurs, Casric Stars and Polokwane City will look to go one step closer to automatic promotion to the PSL in their respective fixtures. As it stands, the Urban Warriors and Casric Stars are level on points (53) in first and second spot respectively.
Trailing by a mere two points in third spot, Polokwane City will hope to get back to winning ways and challenge for top honours this weekend.

To begin with, Cape Town Spurs will travel to the Thohoyandou Stadium on Saturday, where they will square off against Venda Football Academy who are winless in their last three league fixtures. Also on the road, Casric Stars will take on Pretoria Callies at the TUT Stadium this weekend, while Polokwane City will host Uthongathi at the Peter Mokaba Stadium.
Looking to claw their way out of the relegation zone, bottom-of-the-log Black Leopards will face Platinum City Rovers at the Isak Steyl Stadium, who are likewise looking to avoid the drop. Platinum City Rovers currently occupy 14th spot, just four points from the drop.
TTM, who are in 15th place, are scheduled to play Hungry Lions at the Seisa Ramabou Stadium on Saturday and will hope to build on from their crucial 2-0 victory over Magesi last week.
