Amakhosi Aim for Strong Finale in UK Tour Against QPR

Kaizer Chiefs are determined to conclude their United Kingdom tour on a high note as they set their sights on securing a victory against Queens Park Rangers (QPR). The Amakhosi will face QPR at the TSG Elite Training & Performance Centre at 1 PM South African time, marking their third match since arriving in the UK.
"It is indeed bittersweet to be heading back home," said Amakhosi goalkeeper Takalani Mazhamba. "However, our mission is not yet complete; we must ensure that we finish strong with a win."
"We started our journey with a victory, and we aim to end it with another one. As players, we understand that this will not be an easy task, but we have been preparing for a long time, and we will be ready for the challenge."

Mazhamba began the first match against Manchester United, conceding one goal. Another Amakhosi goalkeeper, Naphtali Mokoena, also let in one goal during the 1-1 draw with Leeds United on Tuesday.
In 2025, the 18-year-old goalkeeper enjoyed a remarkable year. He celebrated winning the Diski Challenge title with the Chiefs in May. Shortly thereafter, he contributed to South Africa's Under-20 team, which achieved a historic milestone by winning the Africa Cup of Nations for the first time ever.
By securing the AFCON title, the Amajita automatically qualified for the Under-20 FIFA World Cup, where they were ultimately eliminated in the Round of 16.
Reflecting on his experiences, Mazhamba expressed pride in participating in these prestigious competitions. He noted that he had accomplished the goals he set for himself that year.
"I am immensely happy with how my year has unfolded. This recognition means a great deal to me, but my journey doesn't end here. I am still striving for more," Mazhamba concluded.
