Ethiopia Nigd Bank has reclaimed top spot over Mekelakeya with a 2-1 win over rivals Bahir Dar City, and Adama City found their range with 3-2 win over Hawassa City.
The Bankers, also known as Commercial Bank of Ethiopia - CBE came from behind to defeat the Tana Waves but it was the five goal thriller which captivated fans at the Adama Science and Technology Stadium.
Ali Sulieman gave Hawassa the lead on 39 minutes but Adama's young sensation, Yosef Tarekegn equalized two minutes later.
Adama shot ahead early in the second half when Tarekegn completed his brace in the 51st minute.
Hawassa City were soon back on level terms through Eyob Alemayehu, but Bona Ali restored Adama's lead in the 62nd minute.
The win takes Adama up to 6th on the log and Hawassa on the 11th position.
In the top of the table clash, it was Bahir Dar City who drew first blood with Alelign Azene's 3rd minute penalty.
CBE equalized through Biniyam Getachew in the 27th minute, and it was all square at halftime at 1-1.
CBE got the winning goal, through their former St George Striker, Addis Gidey to return to the League summit, Bahir Dar City remain in 5th place.
