Jessica Motaung secures role with CAF

Kaizer Chiefs marketing and commercial director Jessica Motaung has secured a role at the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF). Jessica is part of the CAF Organising Committee for Women’s Football which is tasked with growing women’s football on the African continent.
Jessica will be part of the committee for the next two years between 2022 and 2024, and she will keep her role at Chiefs.
Her appointment was confirmed by CAF Secretary General, Veron Mosengo-Omba, following Motaung's attendance at a Women's Football Taskforce Workshop organised by the continent's football governing body in 2019.
The committee Motaung is set to join will be chaired by Kanizat Ibrahim, the fifth vice president and the president of the Organising Committee for Women's Football of CAF.
Women’s football is the fastest growing sports property globally and CAF, like FIFA, is strategically placing people in that space who can fast track the development and turn the product around.
The position will require frequent travel between Johannesburg and CAF’s Cairo headquarters, as well as occasional trips to other African destinations.
Motaung will be working on immediately is the Women’s AFCON tournament from July 2 – 23 in Morocco.
