New coaches will be on duty in the Betway Premiership on Tuesday but there is still no clarity on whether Bernard Parker remains in charge at TS Galaxy, who are away at Orlando Pirates on Tuesday.
Durban City will have Eric Tinkler in charge for their derby against AmaZulu at Chatsworth while there is a debut for Richards Bay’s new Bulgarian coach Dimitar Pantev.
He takes charge for the first time when they host Mamelodi Sundowns at KwaMashu.
Parker’s future has been the subject of much speculation since the start of the international window last month with Galaxy having won one of their opening seven games of the new league season.
Galaxy owner Tim Sukazi hinted that Parker would return to a role as assistant coach and that a new head coach would be hired, but the club have made no formal announcement.
Galaxy are away at the Orlando Stadium, facing the potential of a backlash after the Buccaneers were beaten in the MTN8 final in Durban on Saturday.
Pantev has arrived at Richards Bay from Botswana and replaces Ronnie Gabriel, who was removed after failing to win any of the opening seven league games.
Tinkler returns to the domestic game after he was fired by Sekhukhune United in April. City’s home game against AmaZulu will mark his 396th match as a top flight coach in South African football.
