Tunisian giants praise South African star Mokwana’s goal artistry
South African attacker Elias Mokwana has earned Esperance de Tunis’ glowing praises after his stellar displays in Sunday's 2-0 away win over Etoile Sportive du Sahel.
Mokwana scored the insurance goal for Esperance in fashion with a piece of individual brilliance in the Tunisian Ligue Professional 1 away game at Sousse Stadium.
Defender Zied Boughattas’ own goal in the 63rd minute and Mokwana's 88th minute strike handed Esperance de Tunis the win.
The 25-year-old fired a shot with his left foot only for Sahel goalkeeper to punch the ball onto the South African’s path.
The ex-Sekhukhune United player then picked the rebound, twisted and turned in between two defenders before scoring with his right.
Such artistry did not escape the attention of Esperance media team, which tweeted via @ESTuniscom: ""No but, what did he do? Child's play by a Pro."
