SATURDAY 11 FEBRUARY

Lazio 0-2 Atalanta

Atalanta climbed into the Serie A Champions League places with a 2-0 win at rivals Lazio on Saturday as fellow top-four hopefuls Roma stumbled to a 1-1 draw against lowly Lecce. Goals from Davide Zappacosta and Rasmus Hojlund saw the Bergamo club jump from sixth to third, leapfrogging Lazio, reigning champions AC Milan and Roma in the fierce battle to qualify for Europe's top club competition.

Sundowns 1-0 Al Hilal

Sundowns, whose success in 2016 was the last by a non-north African club, maintained a good record against Al Hilal of Sudan by winning 1-0 on a Pretoria pitch made slippery by rain. The Group B match was the seventh between the regular African campaigners and Sundowns have won five. Exciting prospect Cassius Mailula scored his 10th goal of the season in all competitions by reacting quickest to tap in when goalkeeper Ali Abu Eshrein spilt a long-range shot

SUNDAY 12 FEBRUARY

Villareal 0-1 Barcelona

Pedri's strike earned Barcelona a battling 1-0 win over Villarreal on Sunday to move 11 points clear of second-placed Real Madrid at the top of LaLiga. Barcelona have shut out opponents 16 times in 21 league games this season, conceding just seven goals.

Tottenham 1-2 Manchester United

Manchester United returned to the top of the Women's Super League after edging Spurs 2-1 in a fiery encounter at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, despite midfielder Ella Toone seeing red. Leah Galton, scoring her fifth goal of the season, had given the visitors a deserved lead (67) but Marc Skinner's side were pegged back by a wonderful solo strike from Bethany England (75)

MONDAY 13 FEBRUARY

Liverpool 2-0 Everton

Cody Gakpo scored his first Liverpool goal as the Reds snapped a four-game winless streak in the Premier League by beating Everton 2-0 in Monday's Merseyside derby. Everton remain without a win at Anfield in front of a crowd since 1999 and the Toffees were undone by Mohamed Salah's first league goal since Boxing Day nine minutes before halftime.

TUESDAY 14 FEBRUARY

PSG 0-1 Bayern Munich

Kingsley Coman scored the only goal of the game as Bayern Munich beat Paris Saint-Germain 1-0 in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie on Tuesday, with substitute Kylian Mbappe denied a late equaliser by a marginal offside call.

AC Milan 1-0 Tottenham Hotspur

Brahim Diaz shot AC Milan to a 1-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur on Tuesday which gave the seven-time European kings control of their Champions League last-16 tie. Diaz bundled in the only goal of the game in the seventh minute at a packed San Siro to give Milan the advantage before next month's second leg in London.

WEDNESDAY 15 FEBRUARY

Arsenal 1-3 Manchester City

Pep Guardiola hailed Manchester City's second half power surge as the champions knocked Arsenal off the top of the Premier League with a crucial 3-1 win on Wednesday. Guardiola's side showed they are not ready to surrender the title with a ruthless display of finishing that lifted them above Arsenal on goal difference.

Dortmund 1-0 Chelsea

A superb length-of-the-field goal from Borussia Dortmund forward Karim Adeyemi helped his side to a 1-0 win over Chelsea on Wednesday, putting them in the box seat to qualify for the Champions League quarterfinals.

THURSDAY 16 FEBRUARY

Barcelona and Manchester United played out a thrilling 2-2 draw in the first leg of their Europa League play-off tie on Thursday, while Juventus were left frustrated by Nantes in a 1-1 stalemate.
