Big leap for Wolaitta Dicha, Jimma down

Wolaitta Dicha all but confined Jimma Aba Jifar to relegation from the BetKing Ethiopia Premier League with a 2-1 win.

The Thursday morning fixture at the Bahir Dar International Stadium was a week 28 clash.

The win takes Wolaitta Dicha above Ethiopia Coffee into the 5th position, albeit having played a game more.

Mesud Mohammed scored the opening goal in the 24th minute with the game ending 1-0 at halftime.

The second half started on a frenetic note with both sides firing on all cylinders

Abebayethu Hagiso scored the equaliser in the 49th minute

The winner came four minutes from time for Wolaitta Dicha through Binyam Fikru in the 86th minute.

Jimma Aba Jifar will need to win their final two games by high score margins and hope that Addis Ababa City and Dire Dawa both lose all their games to stand a chance to survive.
