The Blu Label Unltd Series 2 concluded in spectacular fashion at Glenvista Country Club, with Minjun Heo producing a composed and clinical final round to secure the championship title at 11-under-par overall.
The tournament attracted a highly competitive field, with players battling challenging course conditions and tightly packed leaderboards across all three rounds.
ROUND ONE
The opening round set the tone for a tightly contested week of golf. Joshua Van der Wath emerged as the early clubhouse leader after carding an impressive 5-under-par round. He was closely followed by Reece Mc Kain, Thapelo Maichotlo, Christopher Bagnall, Keegan du Plessis, and Max Orgovanyi, all tied at 3-under-par.
Several players remained within striking distance heading into the second round, including Ethan Gough, Reinhardt Uys, Liam van Deventer, Grant Stofberg, Minjun Heo, and Kian Coetzer at 2-under-par.
The depth of the field ensured that the tournament remained wide open after the first day of competition.
ROUND TWO
Round two saw the leaderboard reshuffle dramatically as Christopher Bagnall surged to the top at 8-under-par overall following another composed performance. Keegan du Plessis and Minjun Heo remained firmly in contention at 7-under-par, while Max Orgovanyi, Liam van Deventer, and Luke Truter stayed within touching distance at 5-under.
Joshua Van der Wath and Reece Mc Kain also maintained pressure near the top of the standings at 4-under-par, setting up an exciting final round with multiple players realistically capable of lifting the trophy.
The cut line fell at +12, bringing the field down for the decisive final round.
FINAL ROUND & OVERALL WINNER
The final round delivered a dramatic finish as Minjun Heo produced the standout performance of the tournament to finish at 11-under-par with a total score of 205, securing victory in the Blu Label Unltd Series 2.
Luke Truter and Christopher Bagnall shared second place at 9-under-par, while Keegan du Plessis finished fourth at 8-under. Sean Paxton and Jordan Wessels completed the top five at 7-under-par.
The consistency shown by Heo across all three rounds ultimately proved decisive, particularly under pressure on the closing stretch at Glenvista Country Club.
The event once again highlighted the growing strength and competitiveness of South Africa’s development golf circuit, with several emerging talents delivering outstanding performances throughout the week
