South Korea's Kim Sei-young, seeking her first LPGA victory in nearly five years, completed a seven-under par 65 second round on Saturday to grab a three-stroke lead at the FM Championship.
The 32-year-old from Seoul returned to storm-hit TPC Boston after going one-under through four holes on the back nine before darkness halted play Friday.
She reeled off three consecutive birdies starting at the 14th hole, added an eagle at the par-five second, followed by birdies at the third and fourth, before taking her lone bogey at the fifth and parred in from there.
That put Kim on 14-under 130 for 36 holes with China's Miranda Wang on 133 after firing a 67 on Friday and American Rose Zhang third on 134, completing a 64 on Saturday that saw her birdie four of the first seven holes and four of the last seven.
"We woke up really early morning, like 4:30, and warmed up a little bit," Kim said. "So when I was standing on the course, course is really clear and then greens are very clean and when I look at the lie, it's on the line.
"So I was able to make a lot of birdies from the green, and then the greens got a lot of rain so I was able to attack the pin."

Storms halted play three times on Friday and darkness fell with 72 of 144 players still on the course.
The 74 who made the cut were set for afternoon starts in threesomes off the first and 10th tees in hopes of completing the third round by sunset.
Kim is a 12-time LPGA winner whose most recent victory came at the Pelican Championship in November 2020, a month after taking her lone major title at the Women's PGA Championship.
Sweden's Madelene Sagstrom was fourth on 135 after completing a 66 on Friday with Australia's Hannah Green, Norway's Celine Borge, American Andrea Lee and Spaniard Azahara Munoz on 136.
World No 1 Jeeno Thitikul of Thailand, second-ranked Nelly Korda of the United States and Japan's Miyu Yamashita, who won the British Women's Open earlier this month, were among those in a pack sharing ninth on 137.
