With the UFC set to unleash another exciting installment of Fight Night this weekend, all eyes will be on Brendan Allen and Christian Duncan in the main event, as they battle it out for a lofty position within the Middleweight rankings at the Meta Apex Arena on Sunday morning.
Main card set to commence at 2am (CAT, GMT+2).
Currently fifth in the UFC Middleweight rankings, Allen (27-7-0) has been riding momentum recently as he heads into his next bout on a three-fight win streak.
The 30-year-old American last secured a unanimous decision win over Edmen Shahbazyan at UFC Fight Night: Muhammad v Bonfim on 6 June, where he claimed the Fight of the Night award.
Prior to his win over Shahbazyan, Allen claimed impressive wins over Reinier de Ridder and Marvin Vettori; these results followed back-to-back losses against Anthony Hernandez and Nassourdine Imavov respectively.
While Allen comes in as the more experienced fighter, Duncan (15-2-0) occupies 10th position in the UFC Middleweight rankings.
The 31-year-old Englishman is unbeaten in his last five fights in the UFC after capping off a unanimous decision win over Jared Cannonier at UFC Fight Night: du Plessis v Usman on 18 July.
En-route to creeping into the top 10, Duncan secured spinning elbow wins over both Marco Tulio and Eryk Anders, while victories over Roman Dolidze and Andrey Pulyaev added to his five-fight win streak.
The Co-main event will feature Matheus Camilo and Jai Herbet battling it out in the Lightweight division.
In what will be a match between a prospect and a veteran, the 25-year-old Camilo will be thoroughly tested against the experienced Herbet, with both fighters eager to secure consecutive wins in the UFC.
