Fasil held by Mekelle, Ethiopia Coffee and Ethio Electric goalless

Fasil Kenema's great start to the League was slowed by Mekele 70 Enderta who held them to a 1-1 draw.

Ethiopia Coffee and Ethio Electric ended their encounter goalless.

Mekele 70 Enderta, one of the great powerhouse teams of the Ethiopia Premier League has been absent from the League for the past 4 years following conflicts in the Tigray region.

Their draw against Fasil is a reminder that they can be force once again in the League.

This is especially true given that Fasil beat St George in their opening match of the campaign.

Mekele 70 Enderta took the lead in the 28th minute through Yared Birhanu, and they held on to the lead at halftime.

Fasil came back strongly in the second half and were rewarded with a 66th minute equalizer scored by Binyam Lankamo, 1-1 it ended.

Ethiopia Coffee failed to place an early marker to their season as they were held to a goalless draw by Ethio Electric who are making a return to the topflight.
