Tshakuma Tsha Madzivandila's Xolani Nkala will play for AT Mambas at the Phyllis Games. Popularly known as 'Blackberry' and a darling to many that follow Phillys games, the midfielder known for his trickery and skill says he is looking forward to playing at the tournament as it is his way of keeping fit.
Nkala signed for Motsepe foundation side TTM before the start of the season after being spotted playing for Mambas during the DStv Ekasi Champ of Champs which in June.
"The Phillys games is my favourite tournament to play, I made a name for myself during the tournament." said Nkala in an exclusive interview with supersport.com.
Nkala’s Mambas are last year's runners up after they lost in the finals to Ambassadors FC on penalties after the game ended as a stalemate.
Mambas are seeded and will face the winners between Abarondoli and One Lion, who are the opening act of the tournament.
The 27-year-old has made 12 appearances for Tshakuma this season and has expressed his desire to end up playing in the PSL, and even maybe overseas.
"I'm going to deliver another Blackberry show, I need to be consistent and show my worth to all those who have faith in me at the tournament."
The Phyllis games will be live on SuperSport channel 202 and channel 209, from 19 December to 2 January 2023.
